Chiropractic Services
What is rehab chiropractic?
Rehab-focused chiropractic goes beyond traditional spinal adjustments to focus on restoring movement, function, and performance after injury. Our goal isn't just pain relief—at Shift we work to identify opportunities to improve, continue to build strength and help patients develop long-term resilience.
Here is what sets rehab chiropractic apart:
Functional Assessment - Dr. Sam will assess how your body moves—not just your spine—to identify opportunities for improvement and to rule out any red flags that may necessitate evaluation by another practitioner. Throughout this process we begin to develop our plan of care.
Active Rehabilitation - Treatment includes exercise-based rehab, mobility work and strength training, to support recovery and prevent recurrence—not just passive care.
Multimodal Approach - We combine manual therapy (like soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, or dry needling) with personalized rehab plans for a more complete recovery.
Performance-Driven Care - No matter your goals, the focus is on getting you back to doing what you love—stronger, faster, and more efficiently.

Chiropractic Treatment
A chiropractic treatment and manipulation is a gentle, non-invasive technique that is utilized to restore motion to joints that have become restricted. When joints become restricted they can cause the surrounding joints to become more mobile in order to compensate, this can lead to pain and inflammation. In restoring proper joint mobility we can lessen pain and ensure the body moves in more efficient ways.
Myofascial Release Therapy
“Myo” is the prefix for relating something to the muscle. Fascia is a three dimensional network of connective tissue that surrounds our muscles. These tissue should move freely with one another, however, they often get “sticky”. This can lead to pain, trigger points, decreased range of motion and decreased athletic performance. This therapy technique is similar to massage and will work to loosen these two structures allowing for proper blood flow and improved function.
Dry Needling
Needling techniques are very effective at treating musculoskeletal pain and soft tissue dysfunction. Both in the acute and chronic phases. Through inserting needles into specific targets we can increase local blood flow and decrease muscle tension. Needling also has been shown to cause the release of endorphins, chemicals released by the body to relieve pain.
Rehabilitative Exercise Prescription
Often, during injury we become afraid to move because movements we were once used to now cause pain. With many musculoskeletal injuries, movement is medicine, and it can greatly help the healing process. Rehab exercises are a great way to scale everyday movements so that they are achievable, while still challenging the body. Allowing you to come back to activity sooner and stronger.
Movement Assessment
The human body is incredibly adaptable. However, in the presence of injury or pain it can be helpful to modify certain movement patterns to help calm down sensitive tissue. Once this is done, the goal is to build things back stronger and more resilient than before.
