Why Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a natural healthcare specialty that focuses on the treatment of the neurological and musculoskeletal body systems. We use a range of techniques, from the chiropractic adjustment to acupuncture and massage, to treat a wide variety of injuries and disorders. At Shift, our primary goal is to get you back to doing the things you love, but we believe that chiropractic is about more than just recovering from injury. Chiropractic provides a host of benefits for optimizing your overall health and performance, whether you are a competitive athlete, a weekend warrior, desk jockey or perhaps you have the toughest job of all - trying to keep up with a busy toddler!

He will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that best fits your personal goals, activity level, and addresses the root cause of your concern. At Shift, we believe healthcare should be an interactive experience between the doctor and patient, as well as a collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

What You Can Expect
At your initial appointment, we want to hear from you first! Why you are here, what your goals are, and how together, we can help you reach them. We will then move through a global movement assessment, looking at how you move and allowing for the identification of any faulty movement patterns that we need to overcome and that may be contributing to your concern. The primary goal is to focus on correcting function. Pain is almost always the last to arrive and the last to leave, but as we improve function, relief will follow. Much like our assessment, our treatment model follows a similar, global approach. It will be tailored to you, utilizing whichever techniques best fit the problem that you are struggling with. This includes soft tissue work, dry needling, chiropractic manipulation, mobilization, and specific exercise prescription.
Follow-up appointments continue to focus on functional improvements. Checking in with how you are moving and utilizing all of the above techniques, while continuing to progress your rehab exercise program to match improvements as well as your goals.
